My investment return for 1st quarter 2018

In the blink of an eye,
a quarter of year 2018 already passed by,
so fast.......

This year my 1st quarter return is ROA=5.8%, ROE=6.9%.

Let's have a comparison between my investment portfolio at the start of year 2018 and now:
When year 2018 first started,
this was my investment portfolio:
1) AEONCR (30%)
2) LPI (22%)
3) NESTLE (15%)
4) PANAMY (12%)
5) PBBANK (6%)
6) F&N (5%)
7) Others: COCOLAND, DLADY, HARTA, HUPSENG (totally 10%)

After 3 months,
it became like this:
1) AEONCR (25%)
2) LPI (21%)
3) PANAMY (12%)
4) NESTLE (10%)
5) PBBANK (6%)
6) F&N (6%)
7) Others: COCOLAND, DLADY, HARTA, HUPSENG, PWROOT, AEON(totally 20%)

Currently my investment return was mostly contributed by:
NESTLE which from RM103.20 rose to RM154.50,
LPI which from RM18.16 rose to RM19.82.

Sadly,
shares price of some companies also dropped a lot and caused my return to be lower:
AEONCR which from RM13.46 dropped to RM12.36.
PANAMY which from RM38.96 dropped to RM34.60.

For the past 3 months,
I bought shares of those companies that I am interested at,
but still no plan to make those companies to be large portion of my portfolio,
so my main contributors of investment return will not be affected at all.

The saddest thing for me...............
was when I sold some NESTLE at RM116 and RM145.10,
and it caused me to earn less.................

Well.........
I am not God,
how would I know that NESTLE could rose until RM154.50 at that time............

Also,
hereby listing down my investment return for the past few years:
2011 : ROE = +28.0%
2012 : ROE = +32.8%
2013 : ROE = +15.0%, ROA = +13.3% (started using SMF)
2014 : ROE =  -12.0%, ROA =  - 8.0%
2015 : ROE = +21.6%, ROA = +13.3%
2016 : ROE = +38.0%, ROA = +22.2%
2017 : ROE = +40.5%, ROA = +24.9%

Last year 2017,
my slogan was "De-leverage",
and it caused me to earn less in NESTLE...............

As for this year 2018,
guess my slogan would be "To Progress While Ensuring Stability".
(will it again caused me to earn less??)

Hopefully for the remaining 9 months of year 2018,
my investment can continue to progress while ensuring stability.

Investment is about doing own thinking, making own decision.
